COLIN MURRAY’S 52
GROSVENOR CASINOS
SHUFFLING PERCEPTIONS FOR A LEADING CASINO BRAND
Grosvenor Casinos needed an experience unique enough to attract top-tier sporting talent, and strengthen their new positioning as a venue to watch live sport.
We started by securing Colin Murray, a poker-player and one of the best broadcasters in sport, who could attract a star-studded line-up to match. Colin brought his trademark warmth, wit and effortless rapport with guests.
He also worked with us to develop an original show format. A deck of cards featuring 52 never-before-asked questions leading to some very human, unpredictable moments with the athletes. It was about as far as you can get from the conventional sitdown dinner.
With 12 episodes recorded live in front of audiences at 6 key sites around the country, the series also won an award for ‘Best Sports Talk Podcast’ for its originality and entertainment value. A huge success for the brand, audience and talent, who also loved the novelty of the questions and the chance to have a laugh and be themselves.
“I’m a huge rugby fan, so I couldn't believe Danny Care was going to be at my local casino. One minute he was getting us all to sing 'My Girl’, the next he was revealing a huge tattoo on his ass, with his mum sat in the audience! I even had a cheeky bet on the roulette table and came in quids!”
